Our Story Adil: short film maker and street photographer. Reina: music producer and song writer. Recording environmental sounds. Together we combine our passion to inspire people all over the world to enjoy small moments in our lives by uploading pictures, short videos, environmental sounds and short stories. Each and every single moment has his own story. In our busy and fast life it is so easy to pass by and not notice these small moments anymore. Whilst they are so beautiful, bring us peace and a lot of joy. With giving these moments a platform, we hope to inspire people all over the world to open up for those small moments again.

Boudhanath Stupa in Nepal by Moment of Joy (2019)

Walking round and round the Boudhanath Stupa. In the early morning and the evening you can see lot of Buddhists do this, whilst chanting their mantra.

Around the temple you can find praying wheels; whilst walking you spin the metal and wooden cylinders. In the cylinders are found Buddhist mantra's as well.

MOMENT OF JOY IN KATHMANDU MICRO BUS

In Kathmandu, Nepal people are moving by micro bus a lot. Especially to move around in Kathmandu, for short distances.

We stepped on this micro bus from the White Temple, just outside of Kathmandu, to Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple).

It is cheap to take a micro bus, compared to taking a cab. Local people use these busses a lot and the busses are impressively full every time.

Man at Trainstation by Moment of Joy (2019)

This old man we met at the train station of Bardhaman in India, was adopted by a family working on the station. We heard this incredible loving story of the father of the family, he owned the small tea stall at the station.

After the old man fell out of a coconut tree he wasn't able to work any more, because he got injured. His family left him because of this reason and he became homeless. We saw this 'new' family took good care of him and were very touched by this story.

India is well known for being a chaotic and crowded country. But there are lots of quiet places, especially in the small villages.

Here Reina was sitting next to a small pond in Taltor, near Bolpur, Santiniketan. Kolkata .

Ponds in general are often used for freshening up, washing clothes or dishes and also the water is used for flushing the toilet. Ponds are important for these practical matters, but also for social activities, like discussing the latest news. The water and activities around it are an important source of inspiration for everyday life in every way.
