Soviet Storm. WW2 in the East - War in the Sea. Episode 13

From the freezing waters of the Arctic to the treacherous channels of the Black Sea, the Soviet navy was asked to perform a wide range of missions across many thousands of miles of ocean. They included coastal raids and amphibious landings, convoy escorts in the Arctic Ocean, and highly-risky submarine patrols in the Baltic Sea. Soviet submarines would prove a particularly lethal force, attacking the transports of Germany and her allies, and in 1945 playing a particularly devastating role during the German evacuation of East Prussia and Pomerania.
