Welcome to my Hebrew reading & language series.
Genesis 14:6-9
This is the second week in a row where we are seeing many kings and their armies positioned against one another. Among the names we see are Sodom and Gomorrah (which is not how they are pronounced in Hebrew). The photo, right, shows the current state of these places.
Abram received great blessings and wealth, then others came to take it from him. They also took his nephew Lot. For that reason, Abram got involved in the battles. On the grand scheme of things, the Creator is using all of these events to fulfill his promises to Abram.
Today we saw a lot of names and locations. Please have a look at the video and try to read with me. There is also another portion of the Hebrew movie included, which is related to our reading.
