It's good to see you are taking a conservative position on this issue. YES, remarriage while your original spouse is still alive is adultery.
The problem is that you are intermixing fornication and adultery. Fornication is premarital sex. Please review the original reason that Moses gave a Writing of Divorcement. It was because men were getting upset to marry women who weren't virgins. Adulterers were to be stoned in the OT. Therefore DIVORCE WAS UNNECESSARY.
