Management at its Vancouver store told the Straight that the popular retailer wasn’t planning on renewing its lease after 12 years. A “for lease” sign is currently plastered on the building, and is being listed by Jones Lang LaSalle Real Estate. The retail listing states the space will be available beginning February 1, 2020. The luxury home emporium is known for selling everything from cookware to bakeware, cooking tools to cutlery, tableware and kitchen electrics, as well as gourmet food and cookbooks. Frequent visitors to the high-end shop will have knowledge of Williams-Sonoma’s gourmet food demonstrations and samplings, which ranged from cakes to stews, pizzas to air-fryer chips, and more.Â
