Love is the hardest thing to explain, so we shouldn't even try. Thankfully God explained it for us. God made His love clear for us through what He did for us on the cross. He took His Son which He could full feel the pain of, brought Him into the world to live the perfect life that was always meant for humanity to live. Jesus did this so that the Father could pour out grace. But grace is not to be abused, we must not willfully sin and trample on the blood of the New Covenant. God loves us all enough to give us a free chance at grace, but we must honor Him with our obedience. It's not about being perfectly obedient, but the desire to be obedient, which is evident through a repentant heart and prayer life. #jesus
amen preach buddy 😀
Life is largely a struggle against our own evil natures. As it says in the book of Jeremiah - the heart is desperately wicked, who can know it? Sadly, many Christians are blaming demons and the devil for their own evil hearts and subsequent actions. Only once I acknowledge how wicked I am can I start to face my own terribleness and seek God to fill me with his Love and grace which can overcome. It starts with taking responsibility for ourselves and our sin.
Also many believe that they ARE repentant but they aren't, which is evident by the fact that they aren't doing everything in their power to best their temptations. Such as a drug addict who won't even try to check themselves into rehab or get treatment
Well said nachodon!!
great Word... many Christians falsely live under hyper grace doctrine and ignore all the commands to obey. God is not mocked. Be ye perfect even as your Father in heaven is perfect... a tall order but one we must strive to live up to!
